What this notice covers

This notice covers the public website at bylawledger.com and its waitlist form. It does not describe a future Bylaw Ledger customer account, bank connection, payment service, or partner's separate services.

Information we collect

When you submit the waitlist form, we collect your email address, selected community role, whether you want to join the waitlist or nominate a community, and the community name if you nominate one. We record when the request was submitted and an identifier for the submission. A hidden anti-spam field and timing checks help us reject automated requests.

The form also uses a protected hash derived from the request's IP address to limit repeated submissions. Our web host processes technical request information needed to deliver and protect the site, which may include an IP address and browser information.

How we use it

We use waitlist information to review interest in Bylaw Ledger, understand the kinds of communities and roles interested in it, prevent misuse of the form, and contact you if we need more information or have an update about your request. Submitting the form does not guarantee a response, place in a pilot, or access to a product.

Where it goes

Successful submissions are stored in a private directory on the DreamHost account hosting this website, outside the public website files. The site sends an email notification containing the submitted details to designated Bylaw Ledger team members through Google Workspace. These providers process information to host the site and deliver those notifications.

Retention and your requests

We keep waitlist requests while they are needed to manage interest and related communications. There is currently no automatic deletion schedule for these records. Email cjoyner@bylawledger.com to ask about, correct, or request deletion of a submission. We will review the request and any records we need to retain under applicable law.

Analytics, links, and future changes

As of this notice's effective date, the public marketing pages do not have a dedicated analytics or advertising tracker installed. If that changes, we will update this notice to explain the new collection and use before relying on it. Links to other websites lead to services with their own privacy practices.

Please do not include account numbers, payment-card details, government-identification numbers, passwords, health information, or other sensitive information in the waitlist form.
